Parent Governor Required Our governing body is made up of people from all walks of life who all have a range of backgrounds, skills and experiences. Governors are volunteers who work together for the benefit of the school and are the link between school and the community we serve. We are currently looking for a new parent governor and would be delighted to hear from anyone who has a child who currently attends St Matthew's and a desire to improve the performance of our school. Half Term Tomorrow is an INSET day, school will be closed for children. We return to school on Monday 2nd November.
Please remember, we are a nut-free school. This means that we have a strict nut-free policy to protect children and staff with severe, life-threatening allergies. Please ensure that all snacks and packed lunches sent to school are completely nut-free. This includes avoiding loose nuts, peanut butter, nut-based chocolate spreads (like Nutella), and certain cereal bars. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support in keeping our whole school community safe
Year 1 had a wonderful day at the Blackcountry musuem. Thankyou to staff and volunteers for giving our children experiences and memories
Inspire workshops. Every term you will be invited to an INSPIRE workshop. This is an opportunity for you to find out what your child is learning about . We understand that some parent /carers are unable to attend due to work commitments but rest assured all children take part. Dates are : Nursery , Friday 6th November. Reception: Friday 16th October Year 1: Wednesday 7th October Year 2 : Thursday 15th October Year 3: Friday 13th November Year 4 : Thursday 8th October Year 5 : Monday 19th October Year 6 : Wednesday 25th November. Times will be confirmed by your year group. Nursery will have 2 workshops .
Year 6 Secondary Application Forms. Secondary Application forms have go be submitted online by 31st October 2026. If you need support with this please speak to the school office.
